Where we Work

Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is a remote position based in the United States.

About your skills

  • Services Design & Productization: You design services organizations that are built for scale. You translate customer outcomes and company strategy into clear, repeatable service offerings that are easy to position, sell, and deliver. You understand how services can accelerate adoption, differentiate the company, and create expansion opportunities.

  • Operational Leadership: You bring structure to growing organizations through standardization that reduces delivery variability and time-to-value. You establish utilization models, resource planning frameworks, and delivery metrics that prove services contribute to profitability while serving more customers with existing resources.

  • Cross-Functional Influence: You partner effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations around a unified services strategy. You build trust through delivery excellence and use PS insights to inform product roadmap prioritization, influencing decisions that improve both customer outcomes and company efficiency.

  • Leadership: You build high-performing teams that scale impact without scaling linearly. You develop consultants who become trusted advisors, create career paths that retain top talent, and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About this role

As Director of Professional Services, you will lead one or more teams responsible for transforming Professional Services into a scalable, revenue-supporting engine. You will ensure customers achieve value quickly and consistently through productized offerings and operational rigor, while having meaningful impact on satisfaction, retention, and expansion. You will shape both the long-term services strategy and day-to-day operational excellence that enables effective scaling.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and launch standardized, tiered service offerings that drive attach rate and incremental revenue

  • Develop repeatable implementation methodologies, templates, and delivery playbooks

  • Partner with Sales to strengthen services positioning, improve scoping accuracy, and support complex deal strategy

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery ensuring predictable outcomes, strong satisfaction, and margin performance

  • Establish and track key metrics: utilization, margin, forecasting accuracy, and time-to-value

  • Improve capacity planning and resource allocation to support growth without linear headcount increases

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to ensure seamless handoffs and long-term adoption

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and building leadership bench strength

  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering based on delivery insights

What you’ll have

  • 8+ years in Professional Services, Implementation, or Consulting within a SaaS or enterprise software company

  • 3–5+ years leading and scaling delivery or consulting teams

  • Demonstrated success creating repeatable, revenue-generating service offerings

  • Experience productizing services and improving attach rates and margin performance

  • Track record reducing time-to-value through standardization while maintaining high customer satisfaction

  • Deep understanding of services economics: utilization modeling, revenue forecasting, margin optimization, and capacity planning

  • Experience partnering with Sales leadership on deal strategy, positioning, and packaging

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution

  • Clear, structured communication skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders

  • Experience in learning or edtech highly desired
