Director - Product Analytics
Role Purpose
As the Director of Product Analytics, you will lead the function responsible for elevating product decision-making across Gametime. You are a strategic co-pilot to the cross-functional product development organization, owning the analytics roadmap and building the frameworks that help us ship high-quality, high-impact features faster. You will lead a high-performing team to decode fan behavior, optimize the marketplace funnel, and drive massive scale through rigorous experimentation and AI-driven personalization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Product Partnership
Roadmap Influence: Synthesize marketplace dynamics, user behavior, and experiment signals into clear recommendations; influence major roadmap decisions.
Goal Setting: Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to co-create goals. Ensure every feature has an impact plan.
Executive Storytelling: Distill complex marketplace data into crisp, strategic narratives to drive alignment on 'where to play and how to win.'
Experimentation & Product Velocity
Center of Excellence: Lead Gametime’s experimentation design and strategy. Standardize how we run A/B and multivariate tests to ensure we are learning at the speed of the marketplace.
AI & Personalization Quality: Co-own the data-driven design of AI features (e.g., personalized event recommendations). Establish benchmarks for AI quality to ensure relevance and conversion.
Self-Serve Enablement: Drive product velocity by building self-serve capabilities, allowing PMs and Designers to access real-time insights without a bottleneck.
User Behavior & Lifecycle Analytics
Fan Journey Mapping: Deeply understand the fan's path from app-open to ticket-scan. Identify friction points in the checkout and discovery flows to increase conversion.
Retention & LTV: Build the frameworks to measure and influence long-term retention and customer lifetime value, moving beyond one-off purchases to habitual usage.
Instrumentation Governance: Oversee the data quality and tracking strategy (e.g., Hightouch) to ensure our product data is the 'source of truth.'
What Skills & Experience Do You Bring?
Experience: 8–10+ years in product analytics or data science, with 4+ years leading high-performing analytics teams in a fast-paced B2C environment.
Marketplace Intuition: Strong product sense; able to pair qualitative fan feedback with quantitative rigor to identify the next big growth lever.
Experimentation Expertise: Proven track record of running high-velocity experimentation at scale. Experience with AI-driven product testing is a significant plus.
Technical Mastery: Expert SQL and experience with modern analytics stacks (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Looker/Sigma).
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate with executives; you can turn 'data noise' into a compelling strategic story.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Math, CS, Economics); advanced degree preferred.
