Director - Product Analysis (Vendor Manager)

At Liberty, our Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product team partners across the company to design and launch home and specialty insurance solutions — from homeowners (property) and condos to renters and other niche lines (specialty)— that meet evolving customer and agent needs. We focus on preparing and executing program rollouts, delivering on our growth roadmap, and modernizing pricing and the technology that supports the work we do. Organized into five functions—State Management, Development, Delivery, Underwriting Effectiveness, and Specialty—we collaborate closely to meet our goals and help customers feel secure today and confident about tomorrow.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced insurance professional to join the External Solutions & Insights team in the role of Vendor Manager (Director I) in Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product.
In this role you will be responsible for advancing third-party data strategy, focusing on testing, deploying, and optimizing use of third-party data solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience in vendor management practices as well as a working knowledge ofthird-party data used in the management of property insurance products.
This position is an individual contributor role that will work with external vendors and internal partners across several functions to deliver new data sources or optimize existing sources in our prefill,
underwriting and rating processes. This team member will manage vendors to drive customer and business value and will be critical in developing data-driven insights and recommendations that determine how we leverage third-party data. This individual will report to the leader of the External
Insights & Solutions team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Build strong relationships with vendor partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration for high-quality service and support
Develop and build deep knowledge of third-party data, acting as a subject-matter expert
Recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of current portfolio of solutions, and drive sophistication in use of third-party data products
Maintain marketplace knowledge, identify potential vendors, conduct research, evaluate capabilities, and make recommendations for vendor selection to meet business needs
Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to incorporate feedback and business need requests into third-party data strategy and roadmap, as well as escalate issues and
concerns to vendors in a timely manner
Partner closely with Procurement teams to ensure negotiated contracts support our business priorities and goals
The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge of Personal Lines Property insurance products and third-party data solutions
Excellent communication skills with strong judgement on what and how to communicate for different audiences
Excellent organizational skills, self-driven with the ability to effectively manage and follow-through on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of vendor management principles and practices
Experience with procurement processes and contract management
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, SQL, Snowflake)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field. 6 years, typically 8 years or more relevant work experience, typically 8 years. Master's degree beneficial.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
Must have good planning, organization, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
Experience directly managing others preferred.
Excellent analytic, quantitative and problem-solving skills with proven ability to make and execute data driven decisions.
Advanced knowledge of product offerings, business processes, product line systems, underwriting rules, pricing plans and databases.
Strong understanding of insurance concepts and financial metrics.
