Director, People Business Partner
Role Summary

As a Director, People Business Partner supporting our global Sales organization, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how we scale our people strategy to match our growth ambitions. You’ll partner closely with senior Sales leaders to drive performance, strengthen leadership capability, and build high-performing, inclusive teams. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating business priorities into people outcomes that unlock growth. You’ll operate in a high-ambiguity environment, bringing clarity, structure, and impact.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with global Sales executives to design and execute people strategies that drive business performance and growth.
- Lead organizational design and workforce planning initiatives to support evolving Sales priorities and scale effectively.
- Coach and influence senior leaders on performance management, talent strategy, and leadership effectiveness.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends, diagnose gaps, and implement targeted solutions that improve engagement and productivity.
- Drive global talent management processes, including performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging by embedding equitable practices across hiring, development, and team design.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across People and Sales orgs to lead and deliver complex, scalable programs aligned to business needs.
- Build and evolve operating models for People Business Partnership across global Sales teams in a high-growth, changing environment.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a People Business Partner or HR leadership role, ideally supporting global Sales or GTM organizations in a high-growth tech environment.
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior executives and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong experience in organizational design, talent strategy, and change management at scale.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable people strategies.
- Someone who seeks out and thrives in a fast-paced culture of high ambiguity and rapid change and knows how to drive success as priorities shift.
- High level of judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders of all levels and personalities.
- Enjoys pivoting from strategic problem solving to strong execution (known to roll up their sleeves to get the job done, no ego – not above getting into the weeds)
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience supporting global, distributed Sales teams.
- Background in SaaS, enterprise sales, and or technology companies.
- Experience building or scaling People Business Partner operating models.
- Familiarity with workforce planning and advanced people analytics tools.
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
