  • Develop and implement procurement strategies: Align strategies with business objectives and market trends. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.

  • Lead strategic sourcing: Develop capabilities, lead the team, and effectively drive strategic sourcing, including advanced Request for Proposals (RFPs) and demand/specification optimization.

  • Advise on category and sourcing strategies: Guide management and stakeholders in associated approaches and processes.

  • Scale processes: Develop a structured approach to scale processes as the company grows, including methodologies for onboarding new company acquisitions.

  • Implement best-in-class purchasing processes: Define and streamline workflows, enhance automation, and leverage technology to drive efficiency and accuracy in procurement operations.

  • Support the development and execution of new procurement policies and procedures to help expand the spend under management and contract compliance

  • Support the evaluation of technology solutions to help automate and improve the effectiveness of the business's overall procurement process

  • Serve as a trusted advisor: Provide expert advice on all supply and supplier-related matters.

  • Negotiate contracts: Conduct commercial and legal negotiations with a balanced risk approach.

  • Communicate and influence: Act as a key communicator and influencer within the corporation.

  • Engage stakeholders: Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders at all levels, including the executive committee, broader stakeholder base, team, and suppliers.

  • Build strong relationships: Establish robust connections with business unit leaders and executives to become a partner and trusted advisor, enhancing the strategic value of Procurement within the organization.

  • Challenge the status quo: Continuously seek to optimize projects and initiatives.

  • Act as a change agent: Evolve Procurement capabilities (e.g., spend visibility, category management, contract management, sustainability, supplier diversity) to fit Procurement’s maturity journey and company growth.

  • Collaborate with Core Finance and FP&A: Ensure controls and value tracking to the Profit and Loss (P&L) account.

  • Manage procurement routines: Launch and manage effective procurement operating routines.

  • Build and manage procurement initiatives: Develop a pipeline of initiatives and manage them through various levels of governance, including pipeline meetings and steering committee (steerco) meetings.

  • Achieve savings targets: Set and meet annual savings targets and collaborate with FP&A to ensure spending controls. Develop and deploy reporting, decision trees, and validation processes. Participate in the annual budget process.

  • Hire and develop team members: Recruit and mentor Procurement team members to support objectives and become a destination for top talent within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, including at least some in Information Technology (IT) (e.g., software), and 4+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
