Are you a dynamic and results-driven sales leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to build from the ground up? To be a challenger and disrupt the status quo with innovative technology and sales strategy? StackAdapt is seeking a talented Director to join our team and lead the charge in driving our entry into the new world of programmatic + marketing technology. As the Director of Martech you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and establishing StackAdapt as the leader in the new combined space of programmatic + martech.

Reporting to the CRO, the Director of Martech will manage and build a team of talented Account Executives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to deliver a thoughtful, data-driven, sales strategy to expand StackAdapt’s market presence in the programmatic and martech advertising space. 

What you'll be doing

  • Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the martech sector and its integration with our programmatic offering.

  • Hire a new team of sales executives to activate against our new offering. Motivate, and mentor this high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of martech solutions.

  • Define commercial pricing strategy and GTM tactics across the globe. 

  • Partner closely with product teams to define a solution that differentiates our offering from others in market. 

  • Market Expansion:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the martech space.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners in the industry.

  • Identify market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.

  • Sales Execution:

  • Drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout.

  • Work closely with clients to understand their martech needs and tailor solutions accordingly.

  • Develop a rigorous rhythm of business to track progress against key goals and KPIs and ensure a robust pipeline is developed. 

  • Collaborate with marketing to define our market narrative, push though leadership and PR pieces, and actively target prospective customers across our marketing channels. 

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular and insightful sales performance reports to senior management.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and enhance team performance.

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven track record of success in Martech sales, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.

  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of team management experience, ideally in a sales management role.

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and feel energized by the prospect of shaping the future of StackAdapt's Martech strategy.

  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

  • In-depth understanding of the Martech ecosystem, including email, SMS, cross channel messaging, CDP data activation, reporting and analytics, and industry trends.

  • Experience with executing martech branding/awareness strategies.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth
