Position Summary:

The Director of Financial Planning and Analyst (FP&A) plays a crucial role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes of the company. Responsible for collaborating with department leaders to prepare annual budgets, presenting these budgets to senior management and the board, and assisting in budget-to-actual analysis, they ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the Director identifies trends and variances, constructs cash flow models for near-term liquidity forecasts, and presents financial reports to various stakeholders. They also contribute to strategic initiatives by developing and analyzing financial models and providing data-driven analysis to support the management team and department leaders. Furthermore, the Director conducts due diligence on potential M&A targets, ensuring informed decision-making in the company's growth and expansion efforts. They play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, driving efficiency, and supporting the overall strategic direction of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department leaders to prepare annual budgets.

  • Support the presentation of budgets to senior management and the board.

  • Assist in comparing budgets to actual spending.

  • Analyze KPI trends, investigating unexpected variances.

  • Construct cash flow models for short-term liquidity forecasts.

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports for departments.

  • Aid in preparing monthly board packages concerning financial results.

  • Assist in periodic updates of the business forecast.

  • Develop and analyze financial models to back strategic initiatives.

  • Provide data-driven analysis support to management and department heads.

  • Conduct due diligence on potential M&A targets.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis techniques to interpret data, identify trends, and assess financial performance accurately.

  • Capability to effectively present financial information to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders clearly and concisely.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, present financial reports, and convey complex financial information effectively.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business requirements, and market conditions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and financial integrity in all financial activities and decision-making processes.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with department leaders, senior management, and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in a related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $140,000 or more depending on experience
