As HubSpot continues to expand globally, we are looking for a Director of Finance Systems to lead an increasingly complex financial landscape. Today at HubSpot, technology support for our Finance organization is decentralized, with no one team or leader responsible for ensuring the technology needs of the Finance organization are being met to a best-in-class standard. To address this, we are looking to hire a Director of Finance Systems with deep finance, software and data engineering expertise to lead a new, centralized Finance Systems group.
The mission of the Finance Systems group is to enable HubSpot’s Finance team to operate more effectively and efficiently by providing them with world-class, scalable, compliant technology and data solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director of HubSpot’s Fintech Product group, the Director of Finance Systems will interface Directly with our CFO and all of her heads of function.
The HubSpot Fintech Product group is focused on the experience of buying, quoting, renewing, and managing HubSpot’s suite of product subscriptions. The team owns the quote to cash lifecycle while doubling down on making it easy to bundle, buy, and manage HubSpot’s entire suite of products in a compliant, secure, delightful way.
In this role, you will:
Demonstrate wisdom and thought leadership in finance systems
Earn the trust of your key stakeholders across the business, especially in Finance. Relevant areas that the leader will demonstrate thought leadership in include:
Quote to Cash
Procure to Pay
Financial Data Analytics, Reporting, Forecasting and Planning
Revenue Recognition
ASC606, SOX and other relevant compliance frameworks
Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling you and your team to fully understand the needs of your Finance stakeholders.
Demonstrate credible software engineering skills to enable them to partner effectively with our product engineering organization.
Create a 3+ year vision, strategy, goals and success metrics for the Finance Systems organization, that when executed will meaningfully improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our Finance organization and increase the pace of delivery of technology and data projects.
Demonstrate your ability to drive large (and small) projects quickly and with quality that delivers real value to the business in an incremental manner.
Build, lead and manage a top-tier finance systems organization, composed of Business Systems Analysts, Software Engineers, Data Engineers and other disciplines as needed.
We are looking for a leader who:
Demonstrated experience leading a finance systems organisation
Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills (in particular working with finance, product and engineering teams)
Experience working with finance systems such as Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay, Financial Data Analytics, Reporting, Forecasting and Planning, Revenue Recognition
Possesses strong leadership ability to inspire and motivate leaders and globally distributed teams.
Demonstrated experience in business transformation and leading through change
Experience working effectively with all levels of management, including senior (C-level)
Cash compensation range: 200000-300000 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
