The Director of Credit reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the overall credit function of the business. They will strengthen internal controls and processes for credit assessments, restructuring, monitoring and recovery.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located in North America for this position.
What you'll be doing:
Oversee StackAdapt’s global credit-granting activities, ensuring operations adhere to credit policies and standards
Collaborate with Managers and Analysts on the writing of new and revised credit policies, and managing these through the vetting and approval process which culminates with our Chief Financial Officer and Chief Revenue Officer
Recommend policy and procedural changes to senior management, business partners and credit teams to correct deficiencies identified during existing credit reviews and strengthen the credit function
Develop an internal credit score for clients which can be used to identify trends and predict future behavior
Create and deliver monthly credit score card/credit statistics reports to senior management, and highlight key areas of concern/opportunities
Coordinate review of credit relationships to validate accuracy of risk ratings, quality of analysis, adequacy of documentation and collateral valuation
Maintain industry knowledge and awareness of best practices to remain informed of trends in business credit and credit risk management
Lead credit reviews and actions taken to ensure exposure to non-performing accounts are managed
Support negotiations with clients regarding delinquent accounts
Lead development and maintenance of team structures to support efficient long-term operations focused on innovation and automation
Assist the Revenue department in its business development activities by developing client friendly credit processes that meet the needs of StackAdapt’s credit risk management with an “easy to work with” attitude
Assist in the development of a credit review staff that is experienced with skill sets that are commensurate with the North American, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions respectively
Manage the professional and career development of direct reports
Oversee department’s financial budget utilization against department work plans, including the use of trade credit insurance
What you’ll bring to the table:
Proven expertise in credit risk management
Hands-on experience with HighRadius and other Credit management softwares
Innovation and a growth mindset
Excellent analytical skills
AdTech or consumption business model experience are significant pluses
Experience building a Credit team is a significant plus
Numerically-driven and takes a prudent approach to credit risk management
Working knowledge of statistics and the confidence to make decisions
Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple organizational levels
