About the Role
Nabis is seeking a Director of Business Operations to lead cross-functional process improvement, operational execution, and analytics initiatives across Finance and Accounting.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and data, with responsibility for translating high-level business priorities into scalable processes, systems, and metrics. The Director of Business Operations will manage and develop the Finance Operations Data Analyst, oversee complex operational initiatives end-to-end, and act as a key partner to Finance and executive leadership.
This is a highly visible role with meaningful ownership over how the company operates day-to-day and scales over time. The ideal candidate is a strong operator and people manager who combines structured thinking, analytical rigor, and a bias toward action.
Responsibilities
Business Operations & Process Leadership
Own the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of core cross-functional business processes, ensuring initiatives move smoothly from strategy to execution
Identify operational inefficiencies across Finance and Accounting, Product & Engineering, HR, and Business Development, and lead initiatives that drive measurable improvements in speed, accuracy, cost, and scalability
Serve as a central point of accountability for complex, multi-stakeholder operational projects, ensuring alignment, clear ownership, and timely delivery
Develop and maintain clear documentation and SOPs for new and evolving processes to support consistency and scalability
Data, Metrics & Decision Support
Partner with Finance to define, track, and operationalize key metrics across revenue, team spend, and operational performance
Oversee the development of dashboards, reporting, and analytical tools that translate complex data into clear insights for leadership and functional teams
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across systems and reports Cross-Functional Execution
Work closely with Finance, Accounting and other departments to design workflows that improve handoffs, reduce friction, and enable growth
Support initiatives such as order-to-cash optimization, margin and profitability reporting, KPI automation, and new operational workflows tied to product or process launches ● Act as a trusted operational partner to senior leaders, helping prioritize initiatives and evaluate tradeoffs
M&A Integration Leadership
Lead operational planning and execution for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, serving as the primary owner of post-close integration efforts
Partner with executive leadership, Finance, Legal, Operations, Product, and external stakeholders to develop clear integration roadmaps, timelines, and success metrics
Oversee the integration of systems, processes, data, and reporting across acquired or partnered entities, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations
Identify and mitigate integration risks related to financial operations, order-to-cash workflows, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional handoffs
Establish clear governance, communication cadences, and accountability structures throughout the integration lifecycle
Track and report on integration progress, synergy realization, and operational performance against pre-defined goals
Team Leadership & Management
Directly manage and mentor the Finance Operations Data Analyst, setting priorities, providing technical and strategic guidance, and supporting professional development
Ensure analytics and automation work is tightly aligned with business priorities and delivers actionable insights to stakeholders
Act as a thought partner to Finance leadership on how to structure, resource, and scale operational analytics and process improvement efforts
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in business operations, finance operations, consulting, analytics, or related roles, ideally in a high-growth or complex operating environment
2+ years of people management experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across levels and functions
Proficiency with SQL, data warehouses, and BI tools (e.g., Redshift, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Retool)
Experience implementing or overseeing workflow automation and low-code tools (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, Retool)
