We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Commercial Training and Leadership Development to be part of our Neurology franchises critical initiatives in these areas. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our innovative approach in equipping our Neurology sales force and other field teams with the knowledge and skills to drive superior commercial performance. The Director will partner with sales management and other leaders to assess training and leadership development needs of commercial teams and collaborate to manage the execution and roll-out of programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial training and leadership development strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. This includes sales, market access, and other commercial training needs.
  • Lead the design and execution of impactful training programs. You will ensure programs are data-driven, incorporate best practices, and address the evolving needs of the biopharma industry.
  • Immerse in the ongoing development and improvement of training content. Stay current on industry trends, best practices in sales methodologies, and adult learning principles to ensure training programs are effective and engaging.
  • Align and partner with cross-functional teams to lead training logistics and schedule related planning for all sales meetings: Launch meetings, national sales meeting, sales leadership meetings, POA meetings, and field advisory boards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, medical affairs) to ensure alignment between commercial strategy, training, and overall business goals.
  • Collaborate and partner with the commercial field team, including the Sales Advisory Board (SAB), internal Subject Matter Experts (SME), and Field-Based Trainers (FBT) to develop customized content based on needs analysis of current and future strategic imperatives
  • Measure and analyze the impact of sales and other training programs on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales rep effectiveness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Lead the development and implementation of sales enablement tools and resources to support the sales team in achieving their objectives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in commercial strategy, sales and other commercial training methodologies, and biopharmaceutical industry trends.


Requirements:
  • Accredited Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • 4+ years of experience in a training leadership role
  • Experience in leadership development, incorporating adult learning theory, practices, and methodologies into the creation of training materials
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, customer needs, and sales processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data-driven sales and other commercial training programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Proven ability to help develop and lead teammates without managerial authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Biopharmaceutical experience in specialty, specifically in biologics
  • Sales leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design, Curriculum/Learning Technologies or related Courseware Authoring, and Distance Learning Platforms preferred
  • Experience building sales training content, product modules and facilitator materials
  • Planning, project management, budget management, vendor management, and product launch experience


TRAVEL:
  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30% domestically. If based remotely, additional travel will be required to Deerfield, IL (overall travel up to 50% domestically). International travel may be required.

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $210,000 - $240,000 and eligibility for a 25% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company's long-term incentive plan. Benefits for this position include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, and company match 401k.
