The Director of Leadership Development is responsible for shaping and driving the strategy and roadmap for leadership development across the organization. The Director will collaborate with senior management, Human Resources, and key business leaders to ensure the development and execution of programs that enhance the leadership and coaching skills of the organization’s leaders, and the identification and development of emerging leaders and top talent across the organization. 

What you’ll be doing:

Strategic Leadership

  • Work closely with senior leadership to understand the organization's strategic direction and leadership needs, and develop and implement a comprehensive leadership development strategy aligned with the organization's values and goals.

  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of impactful leadership, coaching, and high-potential talent programs and initiatives that build capabilities from emerging leadership talent to senior executives.

  • Identify and integrate best practices and emerging trends in leadership development, coaching, and talent planning to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of leadership excellence.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to integrate leadership, coaching, high potential talent, and succession planning initiatives with broader talent management strategies.

Program Management

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of leadership development, coaching, and high potential talent programs, including succession planning, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and its employees.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver leadership, coaching, and talent and team development training modules, workshops, and seminars.

  • Utilize data-driven approaches to assess the effectiveness of leadership development, coaching, and succession planning programs and make continuous improvements.

Talent Development

  • Identify high-potential employees and ensure tailored plans are created to develop them for future leadership roles.

  • Mentor and coach top and emerging leaders, providing guidance and feedback to support their growth and development.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, coaching and development by promoting and delivering leadership and talent development opportunities throughout the organization.

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or organizational development, talent management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience developing and implementing scalable learning programs for multiple leadership/employee population segments and business needs

  • Experience designing and facilitating leadership development programs and programs for internal teams

  • Demonstrated ability to be a trusted and respected business partner with internal stakeholders and external partners

  • A master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • Certifications and/or continuing education related to Leadership Development, Training/Facilitation, Coaching, and/or Organizational Development would be beneficial

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $146,000 - $220,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
