$180,582 - $212,450 a year

Director, Growth Marketing

Department: Marketing

Reports to: Sr. Director, Corporate Marketing

Location: Remote

About the Role

As Director, Growth Marketing, you’ll own the engine behind OpenX’s growth: the channels that build pipeline, the data that measures it, the platforms that power it, and the team that runs it. That spans multichannel acquisition and AI search visibility, attribution and pipeline reporting to executive leadership, HubSpot and marketing ops, and the digital operations team behind openx.com.

You’re equally strategic and technical, with the credibility to drive influence across the organization, from aligning cross-functional partners on priorities to turning the numbers into a clear story for commercial and executive leadership.

What You'll Own

Pipeline & Demand Generation

  • Build and scale a full-funnel demand gen strategy across paid, organic, ABM, and partner channels targeting publishers, demand partners, and agency/brand buyers. Partner closely with the Integrated Marketing team to align on messaging and plan development.

  • Own pipeline targets by segment (e.g., enterprise publisher, mid-market, DSP/agency demand side) and report against them monthly

  • Partner with SDR/BDR leadership on lead scoring, routing, and follow-up cadences

AI Visibility & Search Growth

  • Own OpenX's discoverability across both traditional search and LLMs, bringing the same attribution rigor to this channel as to paid/organic: track LLM referral traffic and downstream pipeline influence, not just visibility for its own sake

  • Run Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) programs: structured data and schema markup, content architecture that LLMs can parse and cite, and page-age/link-equity fixes on key landing pages

  • Benchmark OpenX's share of voice against key category competitors across LLM outputs, and prioritize content fixes based on where OpenX under-indexes

  • Partner with content and comms to make OpenX.com and resource pages 'agent-legible' (clean markup, crawlable feeds, accurate structured facts about the product) and scale our video program.

Marketing Analytics & Attribution

  • Design and maintain a revenue attribution model that credits marketing's role in deals — from first touch through closed-won — in a way commercial leadership trusts

  • Own HubSpot, including its AI tools, as the marketing automation and lead lifecycle engine; partner with the team owning Salesforce and with Digital Ops on the broader stack (CRM, BI) for tracking and reporting

  • Deliver recurring reporting on pipeline influence, cost per opportunity, and channel ROI to executive leadership

Team Management

  • Lead and develop the digital operations and web development team: set priorities, run the operating cadence, and own performance management and growth plans for each team member

  • Build a culture centered around collaboration, scalability, continuous improvement, and business impact

  • Direct the growth marketing budget and shift spend across channels based on cost per opportunity and pipeline return

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in growth marketing, ideally in adtech, SaaS, or another B2B environment

  • Ownership-level fluency in HubSpot, including its AI tools, paired with the ability to partner effectively with the team owning Salesforce; comfort with a BI tool and the ability to build attribution logic

  • Hands-on experience with AEO/GEO/LLMO — you've run a program to improve brand visibility and citation in AI-generated answers

  • Working knowledge of how structured data, schema, and site architecture affect both classic SEO and LLM crawlability

Pursuant to any state, local ordinance, or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.

OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For all applicants, the base salary range is noted above, per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
