At Weights & Biases, our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code, there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. Starting with our first experiment tracking product, we have since expanded our solution into a comprehensive AI developer platform for organizations focused on building their own deep learning models and generative AI applications.

Weights & Biases is a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees. We proudly serve over 1,000 customers and more than 30 foundation model builders including customers such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota.

We are looking for a Director to join the FP&A team. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading and building the Corporate FP&A function to forecast, plan & report on the consolidated company financials and oversee the implementation and maintenance of the team’s planning tool. They will help evaluate and determine the overall strategy for investment, headcount planning, targets, and compensation. The Director will also partner with senior executives in the organizations to forecast, plan, analyze business activities, and model out key investments and associated returns. This is a player-coach role and will require hands-on modeling and presentation work.

The Director will interact frequently with senior management in this role and must become a trusted thought partner to both the CFO, CEO, and the executive team.

  • Provide data-driven insights to shape company strategy and investment decisions

  • Translate complex financial analyses into clear recommendations for executive decision-making

  • Develop business cases and financial analyses for strategic initiatives and investment decisions

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports for senior management and stakeholders

  • Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year; identify trends and variances

  • Track and report on company OKRs and key financial targets

  • Support investor relations activities and quarterly reporting requirements

  • Design and implement company-wide performance metrics and KPIs

  • Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with the executive team

Process Excellence & Team Leadership

  • Manage one Business Partner on the Corporate FP&A team

  • Establish scalable processes and systems for financial planning and reporting

  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline FP&A processes
