Job Description:

GDIT seeks an experienced Digital Solutions Architect in developing solutions for broad digital engineering IT programs to help GDIT grow our digital engineering business.

At GDIT, we deploy unique digital engineering solutions that take advantage of advances at the intersection of systems modeling, cloud computing, and software development.  Our team members enjoy working with the most recent technologies like software containers, automated code generation, advanced model generation, graph databases, and microservice architectures.  We empower our teams with the ability to design and evolve rather than be satisfied with the status quo, so we are always pushing our solutions to be faster, more secure, and more robust.

The successful candidate will perform requirements analysis, develop solution architectures at multiple abstraction layers (operational, logical, functional), and perform verification with traceability to requirements.  The candidate will be responsible for developing model-based solution architecture(s) for rapid capability development and demonstration.   The candidate will also be required to articulate digital engineering concepts such as requirements traceability, model execution, design performance via simulation and digital threading in narrative formats.  In addition, the successful candidate will identify risk(s) to inform cost and schedule impacts to performance.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science or Engineering or related discipline with 15+ years professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of OMG (Object Management Group) modeling standards such as UML, SysML and UAF.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
  • Worked in projects, programs that utilize Agile methodology.
  • Program-level experience implementing systems engineering.
  • Ability to brief customers, partners and senior staff.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance required.

Desired Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Certification in modeling, e.g. OCSMP (OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional).
  • Software development using open-source frameworks, Java and .NET.
  • Experience responding to Department of Defense requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for information (RFI).
  • Certification or membership in professional systems engineering organizations (e.g. INCOSE).

The likely salary range for this position is $157,250 - $212,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
