Role Summary:

The Digital Content Designer creates and maintains technical digital content for one or more features/components for a product in the Magnet Forensics portfolio. This position works with other members of the Global Content Development team and a cross-functional team that primarily consists of product managers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver clear, concise, and accurate digital content.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create new digital content based on user stories, feature requirement documents, specifications, and information subject matter experts, with guidance from other team members and leader;

  • Maintain a subset of the digital content suite for a product (for example, videos, animations, tutorials, etc.) in alignment with regular product releases;

  • Revise digital content to incorporate product updates and product enhancements requested by customers and internal users;

  • Proofread your own digital content to ensure consistent language and style, as well as the correct application of templates;

  • Seek guidance from the Technical Support and Customer Success Management teams to understand and respond to customer enablement needs;

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate the technical accuracy of digital content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or a related field;

  • 1-3 years of experience in a digital content design position or new graduate;

  • Knowledge of learning or content management systems and design platforms;

  • Knowledge of instructional theory, design, and accessibility best practices;

  • Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation;

  • Proficiency in proofreading, editing, writing, and verbal communication;

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail and strong time management skills;

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in an agile environment;

  • Strong sense of teamwork, personal integrity, and accountability;

  • Strong self-starter attitude with excellent problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to learn quickly and a passion for new technologies;

  • Familiar with standard defect-tracking and source control software like Jira, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with HTML and CSS.
