This is a full-time position for candidates based In Ireland.
Please note this opportunity requires weekly travel within Ireland, further details below in requirement.
The Role
You are involved in all aspects of Delivery, Support and Deployment, working directly with NearForm’s clients on projects. You help our clients translate their business and technical requirements into software applications.
You will work in high-performing software teams that are distributed across different locations and at times when you will work in teams alongside the client's development teams. Our Leads are outcome-driven and deliver the best quality output for our clients within specific timeframes.
As part of this, you will:
Provide technical and line-management leadership to your development team
Take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects
Identify and resolve blockers before they become issues
Work closely with client to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and deliver successful solutions.
Shape and define architectural decisions
Work hands-on on Cloud architecture, administration and system integration
Provide reports to client and NearForm leadership to ensure clear understanding of project status and drive good decision-making
Requirements
Experience working with one or more of GCP/AWS/Azure, ideally AWS
Designing and implementing production-grade solutions, and automation
Providing architectural guidance for cloud deployments and migrations
Experience in implementing security controls and boundaries within architectural design
Experience working directly with customers and users
Experience managing software engineering teams
Deep understanding of agile ways of working
Deep understanding of test-driven development and testing best practices
Deep understanding of best practices and design patterns
Hands-on experience with distributed n-tier and service-oriented architectures
Fluency in cloud-native tooling, such as, Ansible, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Deep understanding of version control tools, GIT in particular
Understanding of operational concerns (such as monitoring, performance testing, security considerations, accessibility, GDPR)
Deep understanding of modern DevOps
Drive to deliver outcomes for our customers
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders, feeling comfortable in client-facing roles where you will drive technical discussions and advise on best practices and approaches
Being a AWS certified engineer (any professional certification)
Travel may be required initially to Cork, Ireland. Once or twice a week as needed. Nearform will cover any travel costs associated
Desirable skills:
Being a AWS, Azure or Google Cloud certified/ engineer
Experience with Shell scripting
Experience with other cloud technologies
Experience working as a consultant, client facing experience
