What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll play a key part in the vision and be responsible for taking a leading role to help to deliver trusted data to the Stripe GTM Data Strategy Team and hundreds of business users through improvements to Data Quality in GTM data systems. A successful team member in this role is passionate about using data to make an impact and is driven to provide the highest quality data for all of our GTM customers and partners. The position requires experience in Data Quality projects, experience analyzing and profiling large and complex data sets, the ability to manage projects end-to-end, and a curious and inquisitive approach to problem solving.
Responsibilities
Enable GTM teams on best practices for documenting data sets, data lineage, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and other key areas of data management maturity
Own the creation and maintenance of GTM Data Glossary and Data Standards
Own data governance strategy and operating model to build trust and capabilities with business partners
Own communications about data governance projects and roadmap to senior level stakeholders
Operate cross-functional data governance councils for GTM Org
Define methods for measuring and monitoring data quality and policy adherence
Create and maintain backlog of data issues for prioritization with business leaders
Lead regular prioritization and intake meetings with senior level cross functional stakeholders
Define and maintain data quality goals,data standards, and data processes documentation
Work cross-functionally to identify and fix data quality issues using sustainable and best-practice tools and processes
Work with other business stewards to ensure data rules and standards are being implemented and followed
Promote ongoing engagement of data stewards across cross functional teams

Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent
5+ years of leading projects and/or teams to deliver scalable programs across GTM and Sales
3+ years of clear, effective verbal and written communication to senior level staff across GTM and Sales Organization
3+ years of experience working data sets from 3rd party data providers
3+ years of experience in Data Governance/GTM Data Operations roles
3+ years of experience in any of Data Governance, Metadata Management, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, or Master Data Management
3+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
3+years of experience interfacing with Salesforce or similar CRM
Experience solving for data, process, and change management problems in Salesforce.
Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management including data access, data quality, data ingestion, and data infrastructure
Ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate across technical and business teams.
Preferred qualifications
Experience working for a SaaS technology or Financial Services company
Work experience with Data governance, Master Data, or Data Quality software
Experience developing data glossary and definitions across a large enterprise
Experience working with ticket-based systems such as JIRA or Salesforce cases
Experience with Territory data management, sales compensation, metrics, and target setting across Sales Operations
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced “startup” environment being able to organize and execute on small, medium, and large projects
