Virtex Stadium is seeking an experienced CTO to lead software development and technical operations. As the CTO, you will both help define company goals that will shape the future of esports and ensure that the world-class engineering team at Virtex is working as effectively and efficiently as possible to meet those goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow the world-class engineering team at Virtex.

• Provide technical leadership and direction, ensuring efficient high-quality execution that meets company goals and delivers delightful user experiences that exceed market expectations.

• Collaborate with company leadership and stakeholders on strategy and objectives.

• Collaborate with teams at all levels across all disciplines to define technical requirements, milestones, and deliverables.

• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and bottlenecks, delivering both process and technology improvements and effective workarounds where appropriate.

• Evaluate the technical feasibility and scalability of new features and enhancements, providing recommendations to optimize performance, efficiency and usability.

• Manage the full development cycle of products and features from concept to launch as efficiently as possible.

• Identify and manage technology, security, and compliance risks across the company.

Pre-Requisites

• Proven experience in building world-class engineering teams.

• Proven experience effectively growing teams from start-up to product delivery.

• Exceptional technical leadership skills and comprehensive knowledge of the current and future tech market and development tools and processes.

• The ability to contribute to business and strategic goals and then optimally balance technical and business needs to meet those goals.

• The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Skills (pluses)

• Experience scaling consumer software companies from seed to exit.

• Experience shipping high-quality Unreal Engine experiences.

• Experience shipping high-quality VR or AR experiences.

• Experience scaling successful cloud-based SaaS services.

• Experience growing safe and diverse online communities.

• Experience successfully integrating user-experience research into the software development process.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
