About The Role

We’re seeking a Creative Copywriting Lead to join our team in a remote role based in Canada. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished creative copywriter with a strong background in leading teams and shaping compelling narratives to build iconic brands.

Reporting to Director, Brand Marketing, you’re going to be a part of an in-house creative team that is building Canada’s most innovative challenger bank’s brand. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop KOHO’s distinctive voice in the Canadian market through compelling and strategic writing.

  • Collaborate with the design team to create memorable and impactful campaigns.

  • Lead the creation and execution of key deliverables, including video scripts and social media content.

  • Cultivate relationships with the executive team, enhancing executive communications.

  • Contribute to website and email content, crafting engaging headlines that drive action.

  • Work closely with Product and UX teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand voice.

  • Elevate writing standards across the organization.

Who You Are

  • You have a proven track record of leading and inspiring teams through influence, fostering growth in both direct reports and the broader team

  • Your portfolio showcases a high standard of work, reflecting your expertise in both brand development and performance-driven strategies

  • You thrive on crafting both grand, above-the-line campaigns and engaging, dynamic social media copy with equal enthusiasm

  • Your portfolio highlights a diverse range of tones, voices, and brands.

  • You have successfully scaled brands from inception to prominence (0-1)

  • You embrace variety and would prefer a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.

  • You understand the distinction between “less” and “fewer” and apply it accurately.

Nice to haves 

  • You have experience in the fintech or tech industry

  • You’ve won a fancy advertising award

  • You have both agency and in house experience
