About the team

Stripe’s Corporate Compliance and Integrity team plays a large role in embedding a positive culture of compliance throughout the organization. The program covers areas such as Speak Up, Anti-bribery and Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, Antitrust, Code of Conduct, and Insider Trading. Our team works globally with cross-functional partners to enable employees to operate with integrity and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will play a key part in the further development and day-to-day management of our global corporate compliance and integrity program. You will promote and maintain a strong culture of integrity to help ensure Stripes day-to-day operations are conducted openly and fairly.  You will leverage your technical knowledge and experience to proactively identify issues, scale risk management strategies, and continuously improve the global program in support of Stripe’s mission to grow the GDP of the internet. In carrying out this role, you will coordinate cross-functionally and work collaboratively with many internal stakeholder teams.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the further development and implementation of the Corporate Compliance and Integrity Program

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the program, including but not limited to: speak up, gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, escalations, and issues management 

  • Conduct internal investigations related to potential violations of our Code of Conduct and related matters

  • Perform periodic risk assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement

  • Partner with Compliance Training and Communications to develop engaging and relevant content that enables employees identify potential issues and operate highest ethical standards 

  • Develop, maintain and update program policies and procedures, as necessary 

  • Develop and own action plans to address gaps and enhance operations 

  • Manage the reporting of risk, initiatives, and overall program health for leadership, oversight forums, and boards

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years experience working in-house compliance, compliance related consulting, and/or forensics experience 

  • A deep understanding of the corporate compliance and integrity issues faced by a technology company like Stripe

  • Experience managing and day to day operations of compliance program 

  • Ability to influence and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience in embedding a “culture of compliance” at an organizational level

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—including the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders across the business

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and data-driven skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Relevant compliance related certifications (e.g. CFE, CCEP)

  • Experience in fintech or another fast-growing global technology company

  • Experience implementing and scaling corporate compliance programs
