Controller
We are hiring a Controller who will oversee the company's accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness while building scalable processes to support growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will serve as a key financial stewardmaintaining trustworthy financials, optimizing operational efficiency, and providing insights that enable data-driven decision-making and investor confidence.
Job Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes end-to-end; ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
Prepare and review all journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations, with a focus on accuracy and audit readiness.
Lead technical accounting assessments, including revenue recognition, purchase accounting, and equity treatment.
Support audit activities and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the companys first audit.
Maintain compliance with external stakeholder reporting, and state/federal Tax filings.
Operational & Process Accounting
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (A/R, A/P, payroll, GL) with a player-coach mindsetboth performing and reviewing work.
Build, document, and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support scalability and compliance.
Partner with Finance and business teams to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and integration of operational metrics into the financials.
Systems & Process Improvements
Have exceptional knowledge of systems and tools best suited for a fast growth SaaS Company
Identify automation opportunities in transactional accounting and reporting processes.
Support the CFO in preparing the business for future scale and potential exit events.
Required Qualifications
610 years progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or nationally recognized) and industry experience at a PE-backed or high-growth SaaS company.
Strong technical accounting skills (revenue recognition, purchase accounting, equity).
Hands-on experience leading or supporting an audit process.
Proven ability to build and document processes, implement controls, and improve systems.
Comfortable rolling up sleeves while also leading and mentoring a small team.
Highly driven, adaptable, and eager to grow into broader leadership responsibilities as the company scales.

CPAstrongly preferred
Ability to assist with company and departmental budgets
Experience with next gen Accounting Software (Rillet, Brex/Ramp, Anrok, etc.)
