About the team
Stripe is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our fast growing Commercial Legal team in the USA. As a part of our team, you’ll be responsible for a wide variety of complex commercial and general legal agreements supporting Stripe’s growing business. Our innovative suite of SaaS offerings enable millions of users around the world, from entrepreneurs to multinational enterprises and online marketplace platforms, to build their businesses, establish global reach, scale faster and operate more efficiently. And we are just getting started!
What you’ll do
Responsibilities
Support the AMER Sales team by drafting and negotiating Stripe commercial agreements within established guidelines
Help build Stripe’s commercial legal infrastructure so that we can scale and operate efficiently at pace with Stripe’s exponential growth - this work includes leading and contributing projects to improve internal processes and operational efficiencies
Partner with teams across Stripe including Sales, Operations, Product, Tax, and Risk groups
Develop and deliver training and other resources to help the Sales team sell our products
Facilitate updates to Stripe’s online agreements and written templates
Create and maintain playbooks and other shared resources
Support our commercial lawyers within various ad hoc work streams
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
At least 4 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation
Clear and concise communication skills (in written and verbal forms) - the ideal candidate can distill key risks and explain complex issues in plain and simple terms to clients and customers
Intellectually curious and a creative problem solver. Stripe’s products and our industry are complex and ever evolving - you relish learning new things and finding creative solutions to challenging problems
Autonomously manage priorities arising from multiple projects or responsibilities of varying complexity
Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Able to thrive in ambiguous situations by applying sound analytical skills and judgment
A proactive self starter with a bias for action and have a strong sense of ownership
A team player who is willing to do what it takes to contribute to the collective success
Preferred qualifications
Experience working in a high growth company
Experience using Salesforce or equivalent Contract Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) system
Proficiency in Spanish language at a business level
