Asset Reality is seeking a highly qualified Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls set by the company and government entities. This role requires a proven track record in regulatory compliance within the fintech, financial, or regulatory sectors.
Responsibilities:
Is a US citizen
Provide oversight and management of compliance activities, including filing regulatory reports and responding to regulatory inquiries.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulators and agencies, such as FinCEN, OFAC, IRS, CFPB, SEC, and other federal or state financial services regulatory bodies.
Stay abreast of developments in the U.S. regulatory environment and licensing requirements, particularly related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), FinCEN, OFAC sanctions rules, and CFPB consumer protection rules.
Manage independent audits and regulatory examinations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams to implement and enforce policies and procedures related to compliance and risk management.
Support the Government in responding to external audit inquiries and regulatory requests for assets in the company's possession.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in a previous regulatory or compliance managerial position at a fintech, financial, or regulatory institution.
3+ years providing compliance oversight, including filing regulatory reports.
Strong knowledge or experience dealing with regulators and agencies.
Comprehensive understanding of U.S. regulatory environment, developments, and licensing requirements.
In-depth experience managing independent audits and regulatory examinations.
