Job Summary:
The Compliance Manager will collaborate closely with the VP of Regulatory and Compliance to develop, implement, and manage compliance policies, initiatives, and procedures that align with legal requirements and industry standards. This role involves monitoring federal and state legislation, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the organization maintains the highest compliance standards in all operations. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for internal audits, reporting on compliance performance, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership on improving compliance and governance practices.
Essential Functions
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including EHR certification, privacy, and interoperability requirements.
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey compliance policies across the organization.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with multiple departments.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail to ensure thorough audits and assessments.
Strategic thinking to align compliance objectives with organizational goals.
Up-to-date knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Law, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience within a healthcare organization, with at least 3 years in a compliance or regulatory role.
Experience conducting risk assessments, developing compliance policies, and coordinating compliance initiatives.
Familiarity with healthcare privacy laws, information systems, and clinical applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in vertical market SaaS organization
3 years of experience as a healthcare manager, project director, or consultant with expertise in privacy laws and healthcare information management.
Experience working within or alongside a regulatory agency.
Proven ability to lead teams, communicate at all levels, and foster a culture of compliance.
Continuous learning through participation in professional organizations and educational opportunities.
Working Environment/Physical Demands
Remote
Long-distance or air travel as needed.
Activities require a significant amount of work in front of a computer monitor.
