Job Description
What You'll Do:
Regulatory Compliance & Sanctions
Monitor, interpret, and apply international sanctions regulations (EU, US, UK) to company operations.
Identify and escalate potential sanctions-related risks and propose mitigation measures.
Maintain up-to-date internal guidelines and ensure stakeholders understand key restrictions.
Data Protection & Privacy (GDPR and beyond)
Manage data protection compliance for employees, customers, partners, and counterparties.
Review, draft, and coordinate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and other privacy-related documents.
Oversee company privacy policies, assessments, and internal controls.
Support DPIAs, LIAs, and other privacy compliance processes.
Compliance Operations
Perform KYC/KYS/KYB checks, assess risks, and escalate concerns to the Compliance Manager.
Handle service abuse notices, takedown requests, and disclosure requests from authorities or rights holders.
Maintain workflows and documentation for abuse processing and regulatory requests.
Corporate & Contractual Legal Support
Prepare, review, and update internal legal documents, policies, templates, and corporate governance materials.
Draft and coordinate legal correspondence, notices, and contract clauses.
Support corporate governance processes and maintain legal documentation for company entities.
Conduct legal due diligence for business operations and new projects.
Interaction With External Parties
Communicate with banks, authorities, regulators, and institutional bodies.
Interact with counterparties, partners, and clients on legal and compliance matters.
Support Sales and Customer Support teams regarding abuse issues and compliance-related inquiries.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
Assess compliance risks and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures.
Identify trends, red flags, and recurring issues, and escalate them to management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support the Compliance Manager in risk assessments, regulatory tasks, and due diligence.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with legal and compliance requirements.
Perform additional tasks assigned by the Compliance Manager.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
Strong knowledge of EU, US, and UK sanctions frameworks.
Solid understanding of GDPR, data protection principles, and privacy compliance practices.
Experience conducting KYC/KYB checks and working with compliance workflows.
Ability to draft and review legal documents, policies, and contractual terms.
Familiarity with corporate governance processes and legal documentation management.
Experience interacting with regulators, authorities, banks, or other institutional stakeholders.
Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to identify compliance red flags.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
Prior experience in a compliance, legal, regulatory, or data protection role is a strong plus.
A completed law degree and 3–5 years of professional experience in the field (Legal, Compliance).
