As a Community Lifecycle Manager at Reddit, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end lifecycle campaign strategy and execution. You will work to deliver strategies that engage and retain key Reddit audiences, specifically focused on helping Reddit moderators. This includes onboarding new moderators, reactivating, and facilitating continuous education and community management best practices to drive retention.
As an IC within the Community Lifecycle team, you’ll partner across Community, GTM, Safety, Comms, and Product to deliver compelling campaigns across the moderator lifecycle. You’ll ideate, concept, execute, QA and measure multi-channel campaigns to enable Reddit to reach its engagement goals. Some channels will be unique to Reddit, and you will be building, testing and evaluating new channels.
Ideal Profile
Excellent writing, communication, and editing skills
Systems thinker that can build 0 to 1
Familiarity with Reddit’s community culture, user trends, and behaviors
Professional experience in Lifecycle Marketing, Email Marketing, Product Marketing, or Growth Marketing
Deep understanding of multi-channel strategies
You have worked in a large B2C platform and have a passion for community-led strategy
You know how to segment the audience and work back from a high level vision to achieve results
Leverage data insights and analysis to enhance strategy that accelerates Subreddit discovery and growth
You deeply understand and identify with Reddit and Redditors, and are eager to uncover insights and unlock remarkable and scalable initiatives
Of 4 pieces, deep in 1-2, exposure to the rest;
Significant expertise/exposure to multi-channel marketing (email, push notifications, sms, & more)
Growth mindset (i.e., focuses on scalable growth, data-obsessed)
Storytelling/Content strategy and sophistication in execution
Execution-bias, “do what it takes” mentality
In this role, you can expect to;
Own process and execution for In-product messaging, one-off push notifications, and email marketing campaigns for Community lifecycle
Create and maintain moderator onboarding materials, including training modules, guides, and best practices
Collaborate with peers to create resources that support moderators throughout their lifecycle
Act as a key stakeholder in product, tooling, and operations discussions around how to improve our channel capabilities to reach more moderators
Support in approach to developing segmentation and targeting
Support in infrastructure build out - test and evaluate new channels to reach moderators
Copywriting, copyediting, and co-authorship with cross-functional partners across Reddit
Manage KPIs, own campaign performance, and use data and insights to build and refine personalized user experiences
Required qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience (lifecycle marketing, campaign management, growth marketing) with a focus on B2C or B2B2C audiences
Experience leading growth marketing or lifecycle marketing initiatives, personalization, or marketing research
Self-motivated and highly organized
Experience building repeatable processes that scale, improving operations or driving
Bonus: Experience with HubSpot, Mode, Looker, Salesforce, community marketing
