THE TEAM

At Eventbrite, our dynamic global communications team plays a pivotal role in effectively shaping and sharing our story. We are a diverse group of media strategists, former journalists, creative minds, data enthusiasts, and impactful storytellers committed to echoing Eventbrite's missions and values.

THE ROLE

We're on the lookout for a Communications Manager who is deeply immersed in cultural trends and conversations and can strategically insert Eventbrite within them through creative, data-driven narratives. This role involves monitoring and analyzing Eventbrite's platform data to uncover emerging event trends that align with Gen Z's passions and interests. Through culturally resonant stories, trends reports, and campaigns, the role will drive strategic, top-tier media attention and raise awareness about our diverse range of events, positioning Eventbrite as the go-to destination for unique shared experiences. The position is remote and reports to the Director of Consumer and Product Communications.

YOU WILL

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy centered around current cultural trends and insights

  • Source and analyze platform data to support international, consumer, corporate, and product communications initiatives

  • Stay updated on trends and discussions driven by Gen Z audiences 

  • Proactively monitor Eventbrite's platform data to identify niche and ownable trends 

  • Leverage existing relationships with lifestyle, culture, and entertainment media to amplify coverage of Eventbrite’s unique live experiences 

  • Develop a more efficient data sourcing process to enhance our approach, enabling smoother data retrieval and analysis

  • Explore effective approaches to consistently distribute the valuable data and insights we have access to

  • Secure relevant press coverage, speaking engagements, and thought leadership opportunities to establish Eventbrite as a leading voice in trends

  • Develop press materials including Newsroom blog posts, trends reports, and briefing books as needed 

  • Partner closely with the data and insights team to ensure alignment across teams and maximize impact

THE SKILLSET

  • Comms Pro: You bring 6+ years of experience in PR/communications–a background in data/trends/consumer communications is a bonus!

  • Data-Savvy Expert: Experience sourcing and combing through data will be key.

  • Expert Wordsmith: Writing compelling content will be a huge part of your role. From crafting polished press materials and strategies to coming up with insightful narratives, your ability to clearly articulate ideas sets you apart. 

  • Media Relations Specialist: You foster strong relationships with top-tier journalists and are a pro at securing earned press coverage. 

  • Influential Strategist: This role requires a highly strategic thinker and the ability to influence cross-functional partners to buy into new ideas. 

  • Make-it-Happen Attitude: Things move quickly at Eventbrite! The ability to pivot and acclimate quickly will be a key to success in this role. 

  • Agile Project Manager: Strong project management skills are much needed as you'll be overseeing multiple projects at once, all while juggling an incredibly fast-paced

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Experience at a start-up and/or global organization

  • Knowledge of the live experiences industry 

  • Strong relationships with both mainstream and diverse culture, lifestyle, and entertainment reporters
