The Community You Will Join: 

We are looking for a highly organized and passionate team player to join our Global and North America Communications team, supporting our Icon platforms. The Icon platform creates compelling campaigns that engage new audiences and integrate Airbnb into various conversations within popular culture.

The Difference You Will Make:

The Communications Manager, Consumer & Entertainment will be pivotal in ensuring the Builds team remains organized and on track through meticulous project planning and milestone tracking throughout the development and execution of buzz-worthy campaigns. Additionally, the Communications Manager will manage critical budget responsibilities, including supplier setup, purchase order processing, and payment tracking.

The ideal candidate is curious, creative, proactive, solution-oriented, and engaged. They should be keenly aware of shifts in consumer behavior and the latest trends in entertainment, travel, and technology.

A Typical Day: 

  • Collaborate with the Builds Team and Project Leads to develop, maintain, and oversee project plans and timelines, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.

  • Support the Consumer Comms team in the execution of the Icons roadmap by assisting with research, partner conversations, brief development, drafting press materials and reporting.

  • Implement and maintain organizational systems to streamline operations, create and distribute regular project updates, and facilitate efficient communication within the team.

  • Budget stewardship by setting up suppliers, processing purchase orders, tracking payments, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders to guide the project development process.

  • Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of evolving trends by monitoring social media channels and the dally news cycle and escalating campaign opportunities when appropriate 

Your Expertise:

  • 4-5 years professional experience in social media and/or communications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • A passion for pop culture and trends

  • Experience working with and managing multiple stakeholders on cross-functional projects

  • Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative!

  • Proven experience in a project management, operations, or budget management role.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.

  • Enthusiastic about team engagement and culture.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
