Commercial Director - Franchise Sales

ActiveCampaign is seeking an experienced commercial leader for the role of Commercial Director, Franchise Sales. The successful candidate will lead the growth of ActiveCampaign's dedicated franchise platform, ACHQ, into the franchise marketplace. This role will build upon the vision and strategy for identifying key opportunities and segments within the industry and driving sales of ACHQ into franchise organizations. 

This role will report to the SVP of New Business and Growth and partner closely with a range of internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Product, and Customer teams, to continually evolve strategies across the ICP, market differentiation, and communications into the industry.

As Commercial Director, Franchise Sales, you will be a key force in advancing the ACHQ strategy and be the voice of ACHQ to C-level executives within franchise organizations and in the wider market. This will result in advances in our mission to provide ACHQ as a comprehensive solution to their marketing and revenue success in the franchise industry.

What your day could consist of:

  • Build upon the blueprint for ActiveCampaign’s strategy and roadmap for Franchisees and franchisors 

  • Execute upon this strategy, identifying and closing sales into incremental new partners focusing on acquisition, revenue generation, and land and expand opportunities

  • Build and nurture a “community” of Franchises by being a thought leader, tapping into their understandings of what is needed and feeding this back into the internal teams to evolve strategy and roadmap

  • Maintain C-Level relationships and be present at industry trade fairs and shows.

  • Lead and inspire your team and be responsible for hiring several key team members

  • Own analyses that provide actionable insights into business metrics, issues, and business opportunities; develop and execute plans to realize these opportunities

What is needed:

  • You have a deep understanding and passion for the tech landscape within the franchise industry and experience leading high-performing, multi-functioning teams. We’ll want to hear about your experiences leading platform sales and your impact on enabling your franchises to succeed

  • You have directly held and delivered revenue targets over quarters and demonstrated commercial success in previous roles – particularly with building growth levers via generating new business and onboarding new customers

  • You come up with unique ways to solve problems, you’re able to connect the dots and nail down the root causes of problems. You don’t easily take no for an answer and are effective in translating strategic directions into action

  • You’re willing and able to get your hands dirty alongside your teams

  • You can lead through ambiguity, take on complex strategic and operational initiatives, and scale effectively across a large organization and distributed teams

  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally to drive a unified strategy

  • You have strong time management and prioritization skills to support a wide portfolio of Partners

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a relentless attention to detail

  • You can successfully determine the ROI on partnership opportunities, measuring investment and revenue, and able to articulate this to stakeholders
