Position Summary:

The Cloud Solutions Engineer – Security focuses on providing quality implementation and migration services for Pax8’s security products including EDRs (such as CrowdStrike and SentinelOne), email/collaboration security (Proofpoint, Avanan), and other security products on the Pax8 line card.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute on professional services engagements, adhering to established timelines and outcomes set within a fixed scope of work, working with project managers to meet partner/customer expectations.

• Provide technical guidance to Pax8’s partners on available solutions in the Security ecosystem.

• Continue professional development and growth in expertise in the cybersecurity and security product ecosystems, especially products on Pax8’s line card.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

• At least five (5) years of experience with security products such as

  • SentinelOne/Crowdstrike (EDR/XDR solutions)

  • Proofpoint/Avanan (Email and collaboration security solutions)

• Experience with/knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (such as CIS v8, NIST CSF, etc.)

• Ability to communicate technical, and security operational concepts in lay-person terms

• Strong collaboration abilities, ability to work with project managers to meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills when working on service deliverables, both with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to think on your feet and solve problems as they arise, leaning on your teammates for support when needed

Required Education & Certifications:

• B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

• Cybersecurity product certifications and general cybersecurity certifications are desirable such as

  • CompTia Security+

  • CompTia CySA+

  • ISC2 SSCP

  • ISC2 CCSP

  • ISC2 CC

  • CyberSec First Responder® (CFR)

Compensation:

• Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $86,000 or more depending on experience
