Client Executive – SLED Location: United States (Remote; Eastern U.S. | Mid-Atlantic or Southeast preferred) About the Role Are you a results-driven sales professional passionate about helping State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) organizations address today’s most critical cybersecurity challenges? Are you energized by owning territory, building partner-driven pipeline, and closing complex enterprise deals? BlueVoyant is seeking an Enterprise Client Executive – SLED to accelerate new logo acquisition and revenue growth across public sector organizations. This is a direct, quota-carrying role, responsible for territory development, pipeline creation, and closing business—supported by BlueVoyant’s strategic alliances (including Microsoft and Cisco), channel ecosystem, and internal resources. In this role, you will engage senior SLED stakeholders, collaborate closely with hyperscaler and technology partners, and align BlueVoyant’s cyber defense capabilities to mission-critical public sector needs. Key Responsibilities Territory & Account Ownership – SLED
Develop and execute comprehensive territory and account plans focused on state, local government, and education entities
Own pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue attainment for assigned SLED accounts
Pipeline Generation & Sales Execution
Proactively build and maintain a robust pipeline through direct prospecting and partner-led co-selling motions
Lead the full sales cycle—from discovery and qualification through proposal, procurement, and contract execution—with new and existing SLED customers
Partner-Led Selling (Microsoft, Cisco & Strategic Resellers)
Build strong working relationships with Microsoft and Cisco field sellers, operating units, and strategic reseller partners to expand co-sell pipeline within SLED
Execute joint business plans and participate in QBRs with hyperscaler and channel stakeholders
Position BlueVoyant services alongside Microsoft security solutions (Defender, Sentinel, E3–E5) and Cisco security platforms (including XDR) where appropriate
Consultative, Outcome-Based Selling
Engage CISOs, CIOs, security, risk, and procurement leaders using a consultative approach focused on cybersecurity, compliance, resilience, and risk reduction outcomes
Deliver compelling, outcome-driven presentations and proposals aligned to customer mission objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure strong customer adoption and long-term account growth
Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account activity in Salesforce
Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and transparency in all customer and partner engagements
Qualifications:
5+ years of successful enterprise B2B sales experience, ideally selling cybersecurity solutions or services into SLED or public sector organizations
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a direct, individual contributor role
Experience navigating complex, partner-driven sales motions, including Microsoft, Cisco, and channel ecosystems
Familiarity with hyperscaler security platforms, including:
Microsoft security solutions (E3 to E5, Defender, Sentinel, Azure security)
Cisco security technologies, including XDR (experience strongly valued)
Strong command of full-cycle enterprise sales methodologies (MEDDPICC preferred)
Ability to articulate technical and business value to executive-level stakeholders
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
Preferred Experience:
Prior cybersecurity sales experience (e.g., MDR, MSSP, SIEM, SOC-as-a-Service, XDR, cloud security, or risk management)
Knowledge of SLED-specific procurement, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Experience selling through Microsoft and/or Cisco co-sell motions
Background working in a high-growth or emerging technology environment
Completion of formal third-party sales training (Challenger, Sandler, Richardson, etc.)
