Description

Job Title: Customer Service Representative - Claims Notification Specialist

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Florida, Connecticut, New Jersey, or New York)

Shifts: Temporary/Full-time - 7am-3:30pm ET or 10:30am-7pm ET

Salary: $20/hour

Job Summary: This is an on-call position as a Claims Notification Specialist for a company that operates a call center for hurricane relief. This fully remote role requires the use of your own laptop (it cannot be older than 3 years and cannot be a MacBook or Chromebook). Successful candidates should have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure while performing clerical and phone functions with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and documenting claim forms and verifying information.
  • Communicating with insurance agents, policyholders, and third parties.
  • Recording and maintaining insurance policy and claims information in a database system.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is a plus.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must download and use RingCentral and Teams on your personal computer.
  • Must own a laptop or PC (Chromebooks are not compatible).
  • Requires unrestricted access to your computer, reliable internet, and a quiet workspace.

Additional Information:

  • Positions are on-call as needed, including weekends.
  • Roles typically last 2 weeks or more, with an additional 1 week of training.
  • Hurricane season is from June through November.
  • We will receive 24-48 hours of notice before a shift is available.
