The Business Operations team, as part of the Trust Operations organization, is responsible for driving alignment, collaboration, and prioritization across our org and our cross-functional stakeholders. In addition, we are focused on creating and improving processes and programs to enable our teams for effective ways of working. This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a varied, high-responsibility position that bridges multiple facets of our business.

The Difference You Will Make:

  • Naturally build trust with people and have an ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, regions, seniority levels

  • Strong verbal and written communicator with experience articulating complex topics to a wide array of audiences

  • Have excellent execution skills in delivering outcomes while managing competing priorities and ambiguity

  • Negotiate on recommendations with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Think critically to solve problems and  translate complex ideas and discussions into structured, actionable plans to drive collaboration and innovation

  • Enjoy partnering with senior leadership in preparing and delivering best-in-class executive presentations, including storyboarding, communicating priorities, gathering inputs, and storytelling

  • Inform leadership on strategic performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve the team efficiencies, and driving upstream changes with operations and product leaders 

  • You are bias for action in identifying actionable plans from a problem and to deliver outcomes

  • Set the highest standards of quality for your work, and hold yourself and others accountable

  • Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

A Typical Day: 

In this role, you will lead and drive a wide range of projects and tasks that have a direct impact across our organization. You will partner closely with a diverse group of stakeholders and teams to influence strategy, drive insights, deliver improvements, and scale upstream changes to improve our end user experience. You will bring order, structure, and focused management attention to the team’s challenges and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. You often will be the bridge between teams within Trust Operations and our cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Partner with organizational and cross-functional leaders to drive upstream changes to improve internal and external processes and workflows

  • Organize and prioritize initiatives, clarify project scopes, proactively manage risks, and problem-solve

  • Provide reporting to leadership and the larger teams on metrics, initiatives, goals, capacity, and more. 

  • Develop deep relationships with Trust Ops Leadership Team to understand pain points and orchestrate meaningful change within the global organization

  • Transform pain points and initiatives into compelling storytelling to build awareness and consensus for organizational priorities

  • Lead execution against recommendations quickly and with accuracy for leadership strategic initiatives and special projects

  • Develop positive, trusting relationships through accountability, consistent, and timely deliverables

  • Create and support new and ongoing operating ceremonies for the business such as monthly/quarterly business reviews, extended leadership meetings, fireside chats, annual planning meetings, etc.

Your Expertise:

  • 5-8 years of experience in (e.g., strategy or operations consulting, project management, technical project management)

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects, programs, or initiatives from conception to completion

  • Track record of identifying business problems and implementing solutions 

  • In-depth knowledge of developing executive presentations in Google Slides

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues through effective problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups

  • Have worked among a global team with competing priorities

  • Prior exposure to trust and safety is a bonus

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
