Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies, LLC seeks a Business Analyst / Scrum Master to support agile application development and delivery for the U.S Forest Services. Projects include agile development of new applications and modernization of legacy applications using both custom and low-code approaches.

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Function as both the Scrum Master and Business Analyst on software development and operations and maintenance projects and use agile software development methodology.

  • Guide and coach the scrum team, especially Product Owners, on how to use agile practices and principles.

  • Resolve team and cross-functional team impediments and escalate as needed.

  • Work closely with the Product Owner, stakeholders, and scrum team daily.

  • Present and provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders on status, risks, mitigation, etc. in both written and verbal communications.

  • Manage the project schedule and roadmap.

  • Facilitate and lead all scrum meetings (daily scrum, release/sprint planning, demos, etc.).

  • Guide team with determining and defining scope, roadmap, vision.

  • Work with IT stakeholders to gather feedback and define that the minimum viable product (MVP) satisfies the business need.

  • Work with IT stakeholders and customers to translate business needs into software requirements

  • Develop and maintain requirements documentation (process diagrams, use cases, user stories, RTMs, etc.).

  • Lead clarification and validation of requirements during the development and delivery of the solution.

  • Efficiently manages time on tasks.

  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to work independently.

  • Assumes responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion.

Required Skills

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) a must

  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience

  • Business Analyst experience

  • Ability to write user stories

  • Experience leading requirements gathering workshops or facilitating requirements meetings

  • Ability to plan, organize, and structure work

  • Experience on software development projects using Scrum methodology

  • Experience motivating teams in a virtual environment

  • Understands the Software Development Lifecyle concepts and process

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Personable and able to work with individuals at all levels

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working for Federal or State govt is preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Analysis, Business Administration, IT, or any related field (If no degree, then 11+ years of relevant experience is required)

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

Travel Requirement:

  • None

Clearance Requirement:

  • Public Trust

  • Green card holders are eligible for this role if they have lived in the United States for at least 3 years. Visa holders are not eligible. 

Salary:

  • $115k - 125k annually
