As a Business Analyst on the CMS Common Working File (CWF) program, you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to support enhancements to one of CMS’s core Medicare claims processing systems. You’ll help translate business needs into clear technical requirements, analyze existing workflows and system behavior, and support delivery of improvements across both legacy and modern components. This role focuses on understanding complex processes, documenting requirements, and ensuring solutions align with stakeholder needs in a highly mission-critical environment.
What you'll be doing:
Working closely with our engineering and product development teams by facilitating positive inbound and outbound communications with our customers along with related technical support activities. You will work on a variety of items such as incoming customer requests for information or assistance, outgoing communication to prospective customers to offer insight and education about our platform and technical tasks to configure setup for customers.
What you’ll bring:
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in complex technical environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complicated workflows and systems
Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile or iterative delivery environments
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting testing, validation, and acceptance of delivered features
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working across legacy systems and modern application components
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and SharePoint
A consultant mindset that keeps the needs of the client and users at the forefront of all decisions
Experience working in Agile development environments
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
