Essence of the role
Live and breathe blockchain data such that a poorly designed data schema drives you nuts
Believes that one additional unnecessary LEFT JOIN to get the right columns you need is a descent into madness
Enjoys collaborating with teammates and the industry to decode new events together in this blitz-paced environment
Not afraid to jump in and lead the biggest airdrops of 2024 (we collaborated with Jupiter and Jito to protect their airdrops from sybils, more such fast paced projects to come)
Be able to execute on the boring stuff AND never afraid to push the boundaries. Do we need to build another 1000 schemas? Yes. Should we try and cluster every single wallet at scale for billions of wallets to fight sybils at the same time? YES.
About The Role
Sherlock & Enola Holmes level of curiosity to find peculiarities in the data and help the industry redefine the narratives. (e.g. We have helped Brevan Howard Digital and Nic Carter with their industry-defining Stablecoin Reports)
Ability to parse and understand new blockchain schemas fast and well (We have EVM, Solana, Bitcoin, Ordinals, Tron)
Good enough understanding of NFT, DEXs, Decoded Logs, and Smart Contracts to transform the data to the product and customer's needs quickly

Contribute to all parts of the business - Learn all cross-sections of the business, outside of your domain - whatever it takes for the team to get a win, you will be part of it.
Giant infrastructure budget per head - You will make mistakes, costly mistakes, but at Allium's expense. We have an internal leaderboard of the costliest infrastructure mistakes made, and we learn from them. Mistakes that very few engineers in the world even have the opportunity to make. We don't have fancy Michelin-starred meal budgets, but we have a huge infrastructure budget for you to get better at your craft. And that's what counts to improve.
