The Benefits Specialist will support the administration and operation of employee benefits
programs for the Americas region. This role involves managing day-to-day benefits activities,
ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to employees. The
specialist will work closely with the Americas Benefits Leader to implement and maintain
benefits programs that meet the needs of our employees and align with the company's strategic
goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the enrollment, renewal, and administration of employee benefits programs
including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other benefits.
• Process and reconcile benefits invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Handle employee inquiries related to benefits, providing clear and concise information.
• Maintain benefits records and ensure data integrity in HR systems.
• Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including communications,
systems updates, and employee assistance.
• Provide guidance of Cision’s benefit programs and assists with the resolution of benefits
questions and issues for employees.
• Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and also ensuring that
employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice
required to qualify for and to take leave.
• Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and
timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers
during leave within reason.
• Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in
accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
• Manages and reconciles leave payments in collaboration with payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits
programs.
• Assist in preparing and filing required regulatory reports and documentation.
• Stay updated on benefits legislation and regulations, and recommend necessary
adjustments to benefits programs.
• Analyze benefits data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Benefits Leader to develop metrics and KPIs for benefits programs.
• Liaise with benefits vendors and brokers to resolve issues and ensure high-quality
service.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of benefits providers.
Minimum Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Act as a team member with strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to
detail and follow through.
• Possess interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to
interact with all levels within the organization.
