**Job Title: Banking & Treasury Architect** **Location: Remote (US)** **Job Description:** The Banking & Treasury Architect will serve as the primary representative for SAP Services, bringing expertise across treasury process design, SAP product roadmap, clean-core governance, AI and innovation, and cross-party orchestration to ensure scalable rollout across subsequent releases and additional business units. **Design Scope:** The advisory scope will encompass the end-to-end corporate treasury and banking operations landscape, including payment processing, bank connectivity, cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, and in-house banking. **Solution Scope for Current Release:** - APM-IHB (Advanced Payment Management / In-House Banking) - MBC Connector (for integration with Multibank Connectivity & SWIFT network) - Cash Management - BCM (Bank Communication Management) - TRM (Treasury and Risk Management) The advisory scope spans two tiers of engagement: 1. **Leading Tier:** Influence end-to-end design, driving process design decisions, Clean Core guidance, SAP point-of-view, and Design Authority alignment. 2. **Supporting Tier:** Actively contribute to cross-functional design elements while primary ownership resides with other workstream leads. Delivery and implementation remain the responsibility of the customer and the System Integrator. **Key Contributions Within the Design Authority Model:** - **Trusted Advisory to All Parties:** - Serve as the Banking & Treasury point of contact for business and IT leads as well as System Integrator counterparts. - Advise on business risk, trade-off decisions, and strategic implications of key design choices. - Facilitate access to SAP Line of Business experts when specialist depth is. - **Design Quality and Clean-Core Governance:** - Attend and contribute to design workshops and cross-functional integration sessions, providing the SAP point-of-view on process best practices, solution options, and clean-core compliance. - Articulate SAP's position at Design Authority on key decisions. - Advise on trade-off decisions, deployment sequencing, and planning to protect long-term scalability, regulatory compliance, and supportability. - **Product Roadmap and Innovation Alignment:** - Provide guidance on the SAP product roadmap, ensuring design decisions align with the direction of S/4HANA PCE and adjacent SAP capabilities. - Lead the integration of AI-powered capabilities within the treasury domain and identify automation opportunities. - Identify opportunities to adopt upcoming standard capabilities ahead of subsequent waves. - **Product Gap Facilitation and Escalation:** - Identify, document, and prioritize product gaps encountered during design. - Facilitate communication of perceived product gaps to SAP Product Engineering with clear documentation of business impact and desired resolution. - Advise on interim workarounds and risk mitigations while product gaps are being resolved, ensuring program delivery timelines are protected.
