About us:

BVNK is a next-generation payments platform for global businesses. We bridge the gap between traditional and digital finance to make payments borderless, instant, and secure. Using the BVNK platform, businesses can send and receive payments on all major schemes and blockchain networks, incorporate stablecoins into their payment flows, and settle funds in over 30 markets.

We are a diverse team spread across the UK, Europe, South Africa, and APAC, with a shared belief that in the next five years, all payment flows will interact with crypto, and BVNK will be at the forefront of this shift. We raised $40M in Series A funding, and we're looking for smart, ambitious people to help us build the next generation of payments.

We're incredibly honored to have made Newsweek's list of Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024) and to have been recognised by LinkedIn as one of the Top 20 Startups in the UK in 2024.

About this role in the team:

As a Banking Partner Associate, you will report directly to the US Head of Banking, and play a crucial role in expanding and managing BVNK's banking partnerships across the US. This role is ideal for someone who has great attention to detail, is organised, comfortable with administrative tasks, and able to operate with a high level of autonomy. A strong understanding of the banking and payments industry will be advantageous.

Please note, this role may require some overlap with US (East Coast) hours as it serves the US market.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with banking partners across the US, acting as the main contact person during the onboarding process as well as BAU.

  • Support the Banking Relationship Team with day-to-day partner management and organisational tasks.

  • Complete banking partner application forms and collate necessary policies, and other documentation for each application (building a strong relationship with BVNK’s Compliance & Legal Teams).

  • Act as a point of contact for banking partners, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

  • Assist with KYC onboarding and due diligence with new partner banks and KYC refresh with existing partners.

  • Project manage the implementation of new banking partners into BVNK’s network to ensure timely delivery of all tasks.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Finance) to ensure alignment and successful partnership outcomes.

  • Become subject matter expert for Banking and support Commercial and Operational Teams across BVNK.

  • Monitor ongoing performance and suitability of banking partners after launch, including providing regular updates and reports on partnership performance to senior management.

  • Assist in the development of processes and frameworks to enhance partnership efficiency and effectiveness.

What we need from you:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the FinTech, Payments, Banking, or Crypto sectors.

  • Proven experience in onboarding and managing end-to-end relationships.

  • A commercial mindset, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.

  • Proactive, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently.

  • Willingness to perform repetitive and admin-intensive tasks.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience and appreciation of high-risk verticals beneficial (i.e. Gaming, Forex, Crypto).

  • Experience with and knowledge of domestic and cross-border schemes (FPS, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, PIX, etc).

What you can expect from us:

  • Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growth

  • Meaningful ownership in the business through our employee option scheme

  • Flexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heart

  • A culture built on passionate growth-minded people

  • A flexible approach to holiday

  • Opportunities to travel to our offices around the world

  • An open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, its culture, and its opportunity sets

At BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team. While you may not meet all of our requirements, we’d encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of our expectations. You may be a great fit for this role or another role in our team.
