SCAYLE Payment is a company driven by the passion to develop the best tech products. Currently, we are searching for an experienced & passionate Senior PHP Softwarecrafter (m/f/d) for our Payment Team.
The Payment team is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.
What you will do
Develop and maintain robust PHP applications within the payment lifecycle
Work closely with legacy code, improving and refactoring to enhance scalability and maintainability.
Ensure all code meets high-quality standards and adheres to best practices, contributing to a sustainable development pace
Who you are
Minimum of 4 years experience with PHP or a comparable object-oriented language such as Java, Ruby, and C#.
Furthermore, the willingness to work with PHP (We use PHP 8.3)
Practical experience developing REST APIs
Experience working with RDBMS such as MySQL / PostgreSQL
Previous experience with git
Experience in writing tests
Self-motivated and responsible working
Nice to have
Experience working with messaging systems like SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
Experience in TDD
