JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to deliver Cloud Engineering services to Rackspace’s Enterprise and SME clients. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on technical skills, with the experience and consulting skills to understand, shape, and deliver against our customers’ requirements. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working on:  Managing and supporting ticket queues of various clients and maintaining the SLA.  Support 24X7 environment with long-term or permanent shifts.  Escalation to appropriate task manager of inappropriate work task requests or requirements.  Leveraging personal subject matter expertise, and working closely with peers, the role will be accountable for delivering 24X7 quality support in a client-facing role. You’ll be the voice of Rackspace within the customer. Skills & Experience  Minimum 3-8 years of relevant hands-on Azure cloud experience.  Experience in troubleshooting complex networking setups and have good understanding over all networking services available in Azure.  Should be able to Create 1 Route table / subnet, Tighten open network security groups,review Application security groups, Cleanup available public Ips, and Review/Setup Azure policies for VM size SKUs  Monitoring Azure cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, security, etc. using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Trusted Advisor, or similar.  Must have hands on experience and strong understanding of AKS (Azure Kubernetes), containerization and troubleshooting Kubernetes issues.  Experienced in all IAAS, PAAS azure services in compute, storage, and its associated concepts.  Experience in troubleshooting complex networking setups and have good understanding over all networking services available in Azure.  Hands on experience of working on all available load balancing solutions in Azure.  Strong technical troubleshooting experience and ability to produce well-articulated RCA’s  Good experience working with services such as Service bus, event hub, ADF, databricks and ADLS.  Good understanding of storage services like storage account, SQL, postgres and mySQL  Knowledge of using automation accounts, PowerShell commands and Azure CLI  Experience in troubleshooting Windows/Linux operating systems.  Advise on cost optimization for current infrastructure.  Good understating of Azure Security and able to recommend best practices with regards to security in cloud environment.  Candidates with knowledge of automation tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, Ansible, or similar will be preferred.  Experience collaborating with developers and platform engineers, and continuously optimizing infrastructure to remove bottlenecks and improve automation.  Ideally have a degree in a technology field or equivalent industry experience.  Strong communication skills, and customer-facing experience desirable.
