RainFocus is a leading enterprise event marketing platform powering some of the world's largest and most sophisticated experiences. Our customers range from global enterprises running Tier 1 conferences to fast-growing organizations executing field marketing, webinars, sales activation, and marketing activation programs.
As RainFocus expands beyond our original enterprise core into new offerings and verticals, we are building a more structured, scalable go-to-market engine. This role sits at the heart of that effort.
About the Role
RainFocus is hiring an Associate Product Marketing Manager to support the team responsible for bringing our platform and product portfolio to market.
This is an entry point into a high-impact, fast-moving product marketing function — not a support role. You will contribute directly to go-to-market launches, help shape product messaging, create content that drives real adoption, and develop the cross-functional instincts that define great product marketers.
The best person for this role is someone who is hungry to learn, strong enough to execute, and curious enough to always ask why.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Research & Commercial Viability
Lead and contribute to market research sprints that define what is commercially viable before product specifications are handed to the product team — starting with the end in mind: what is the customer buying, and what outcome are they paying for?
Identify and document market expectations for new initiatives and use cases — translating external signals into a clear picture of what a market-viable product must deliver.
Produce a standard set of concise, dense research artifacts (not verbose AI dumps) that define customer outcomes, commercial viability, and prioritization rationale for each initiative.
Serve as the voice of the market in product development discussions — ensuring product decisions are grounded in customer and buyer expectations, not just internal assumptions.
Partner with Product Management and Sales to validate that proposed solutions align with what customers are actually willing to buy.
Use AI tools to accelerate the research and synthesis cycle — compressing weeks of discovery into days — while bringing findings back to the team through structured presentations and collaborative review sessions.
Go-To-Market Execution
Support the end-to-end launch process for new features and releases, contributing to readiness activities across Sales, CS, and Product teams.
Assist in coordinating launch timelines, ensuring messaging, enablement, and marketing assets are aligned and delivered on schedule.
Operate effectively in an agile marketing environment, supporting 1-week sprint cycles and rapid iteration.
Sales & Field Enablement
Equip Sales and Client Success teams with tools, assets, and messaging that communicate product value at every stage of the customer journey.
Attend and support customer events, webinars, industry conferences, and company-run events.
Approach AI as a core thinking partner — using it to accelerate research, sharpen drafts, and synthesize complex information faster.
Actively experiment with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Notebook LM, etc.) to increase output speed — while ensuring all AI-generated content is inspected, condensed, and validated before sharing.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months):
You've run or meaningfully contributed to the team’s market research efforts — producing a tight, actionable set of artifacts that directly shaped a product investment or GTM decision.
Product and Sales teams reference your research and artifacts as the source of truth.
You've contributed to at least one major product launch — from market validation through enablement materials — with minimal manager follow-up on execution.
You've developed a working understanding of how marketing automation platforms, CRM ecosystems, and event technology connect — and can speak to how those integration points shape the buyer experience and inform GTM strategy.
You can articulate the enterprise customer journey end-to-end, including how large buying groups make decisions, how ABM strategies target and influence multiple stakeholders simultaneously, and how RainFocus fits into the broader marketing and sales technology stack our customers rely on
You've developed a working understanding of the RainFocus platform and can speak to product value across our core use cases.
You've established trusted relationships with counterparts in Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
You're recognized as someone who produces dense, useful outputs — not verbose documents — and who brings findings back to the group for alignment rather than working in silos.
Qualifications:
Required
1-4 years of experience in product marketing, market research, content marketing, or a closely related field.
Bachelor's degree preferred; background in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is a plus.
Strong written communication skills — you can distill complex research into a concise, decision-ready document.
Ability to self-manage time, prioritize across competing asks, and follow through without being chased.
Eagerness to understand how market research and product marketing connect to revenue, retention, and growth.
Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile (1-week sprint) environment.
A genuine curiosity for enterprise SaaS and how B2B buyers evaluate and adopt software.
Preferred
Familiarity with account-based marketing principles and demand generation concepts.
Prior internship or work experience at a SaaS or technology company.
Experience using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Notebook LM, etc.) as part of a regular research or writing workflow.
Exposure to tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Highspot, Jira, or similar marketing/sales/product platforms.
Why work at RainFocus?
You'll step into a product marketing team at a pivotal moment — as RainFocus scales its platform across new products, use cases, and verticals, and makes a company-wide push to operate at AI speed. This role offers real ownership early, close exposure to product and go-to-market strategy, and a clear path to growing into a full PMM role as you develop.
As a member of the RainFocus team, you will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the impact of our platform at events around the world. Additionally, RainFocus offers competitive salaries, competitive benefits, 401k, generous PTO, and other team building activities.
What are you waiting for? Apply today! We need more talented, hard-working, fun-loving team members just like yourself!
