As we expand our suite of products, and enhance our existing platform, RubiconMD is seeking a bright, execution-oriented Associate Product Manager who can own day-to-day collaboration and internal organization between Product and Engineering to deliver on prioritized features thoughtfully and efficiently.

This role requires access to Personal Health Information (PHI). The incumbent will be required to participate in annual HIPPA training.

Essential functions:

  • Implement the roadmap established by the Director of Product for eConsults: 

    • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Scrum, Data, and Engineering  to architect and refine product specifications and requirements

    • Transform broad product vision into defined, technical tasks, comprehensively gathering, evaluating, and prioritizing all functional and non-functional requirements on an ongoing basis

    • Own the organization of the product backlog by maintaining structure around user stories, features and epics

    • Continuously monitor product development to ensure that projects are completed on time and in scope

    • Work closely with agile development teams  and actively participate in scrum ceremonies, and in some cases, lead, key ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews. Providing guidance and support to ensure timely and successful feature releases. 

    • Support the adherence to and improvement of internal processes leveraging best practices

    • Define and participate in rigorous user acceptance testing

  • Create and maintain product documentation to record new feature changes and communicate updates to stakeholders and users

  • Work closely with Director of Product and our stakeholder teams to document and address identified bugs, needed enhancements, and proposed new features in conjunction with existing backlog

Required experience, skills & attributes:

  • You already have experience operating in Agile Sprint cycles and owning and running ceremonies

  • Comfortable with Jira, Confluence, and Asana

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and meaningful product documentation, including user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Impeccable organizational and foundational project management skills 

  • Superior attention to detail and thoroughness

  • Bias toward execution

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge

  • Evidence of close and successful collaboration with engineering, product and cross-functional stakeholders

  • B2B or B2B2C experience

  • A proactive and eager to learn mindset

  • Data analysis skills in Excel or SQL

  • Complete RMD onboarding and training program

  • Integrate with the team, partnering with existing team members to write stories and requirements

  • Begin to run and own ceremonies in partnership with Scrum Master

Within 1 quarter, you’ll…

  • Own contributions to all ceremonies, running and participating as appropriate

  • Be fully embedded, leading development and delivery process  and implementing new processes and best practices

  • Take ownership of the organized, efficient and speedy delivery of the engineering team and the quality of features delivered

Within 1 year, you’ll…

  • Be on track, leveling up your responsibilities and acting as a member of the product org

  • Set the bar for mature product organization, adding much needed structure, organization and process

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $120-125K and we anticipate that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by the candidate’s unique combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. This role is also eligible for employee benefits and other compensation.
