What you will do:

  • Develop and Implement KOL Engagement Strategy:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive KOL engagement strategy aligned with business objectives and target markets.

  • Establish processes for identifying, recruiting, and nurturing relationships with KOLs across relevant disease areas to establish strategic partnerships and collaboration.

  • Identify and prioritize potential KOLs based on expertise, influence, and relevance.

  • Develop engagement plans for each KOL, including advocacy opportunities, advisory participation, and speaking engagements.

  • Cultivate and Maintain Relationships with KOLs:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with KOLs through regular communication, collaboration, and engagement activities.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for KOLs, addressing their needs, providing support, and fostering a positive and collaborative partnership.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of KOL activities with company objectives and priorities.

Drive Thought Leadership and Education Initiatives:

  • Develop and demonstrate understanding of the market, including industry trends and clinical advancements, clinical value, competitive analysis to inform content development and thought leadership activities.

  • Collaborate with KOLs to develop and deliver educational content, including webinars and conference presentations to enhance industry knowledge and awareness.

  • Identify opportunities to showcase KOL expertise and products through thought leadership initiatives, such as publications, case studies, and media interviews.

  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities for KOLs at conferences, symposiums, and other industry events to showcase their expertise and promote the company's solutions.

  • Provide guidance and support to KOLs in preparing presentations, abstracts, and educational materials to ensure alignment with company messaging and objectives.

Facilitate Peer-to-Peer Interactions and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Organize and facilitate peer-to-peer interactions and knowledge-sharing opportunities among KOLs, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate advisory meetings, roundtable discussions, and expert panels to foster collaboration, innovation, and best practice sharing.

  • Capture insights and feedback from KOL interactions to inform marketing strategies, and customer engagement efforts.

Measure and Evaluate Program Effectiveness:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the KOL program and track progress over time.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments to evaluate the impact of KOL engagement on sales enablement and customer satisfaction.

Development of Clinical Society Engagement Program:

  • Collaborate with clinical societies and professional associations to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance the visibility and credibility of the company.

  • Develop sponsorship opportunities and educational initiatives that drive engagement and credibility.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) preferred. 

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare/medtech/med device marketing, medical affairs, or related roles, with a focus on KOL engagement and thought leadership development. 

  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic KOL engagement initiatives that drive brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth. 

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory landscape. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with key stakeholders. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing cross-functional teams and external partnerships.

Compensation - The salary range target for the role described in this job description is $170,000 to $190,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including but not limited to candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, compensation/equity mix, and market data. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards, short-term incentives, or sales compensation.
