What are you going to do?
You will have the opportunity to work as an Application Administrator for their Slack platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and ensuring the smooth operation of their Slack workspaces to enhance communication and collaboration within our organization. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and project management to support our team's productivity and engagement through Slack.
Oversee the setup and ongoing configuration of Slack workspaces, including channels, user permissions, integrations, and security settings to optimize workflow and collaboration.
Manage and integrate third-party apps and services with Slack to enhance its functionality, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with security policies.
Lead the implementation of new features, updates, and changes within the Slack platform, including testing, deployment, and user communication.
Act as the primary point of contact for any high-level escalations related to Slack operations, swiftly addressing and resolving issues that impact the platform's performance or user experience. Coordinate with IT and security teams as necessary to implement solutions.
Enforce security policies and practices within Slack to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Work closely with IT, security, and various departmental teams to ensure Slack meets the evolving needs of the organization and aligns with overall IT strategy.
Monitor the Slack environment for performance, usage trends, and compliance with organizational policies. Prepare and present reports on metrics, user feedback, and improvement opportunities.
Regularly gather user feedback to continually assess and improve the effectiveness of Slack as a collaboration tool within the organization.
What will help you succeed?
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience as an Application Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role, with specific experience managing Slack or similar collaboration platforms.
Strong understanding of Slack's architecture, features, and best practices.
Experience with API integrations and managing third-party applications within a corporate environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users at various technical levels.
Familiarity with IT security and compliance frameworks relevant to collaboration tools.
Project management skills and experience with change management processes.
