Option #1:
Four consecutive 10 hour days as long as 2 of the 4 days consists of Saturday & Sunday (example: Saturday - Tuesday or Thursday - Sunday).
Option #2:
Five consecutive 8 hour days as long as 2 of the 5 days consist of Saturday & Sunday and are on consecutive days of the week

GDIT is looking for a Weekend Application Systems Team Lead, with a background in operational support that will lead the weekend application support activities within a 24/7 Production Environment. The Weekend Application Shift Lead will collaborate with non-production support staff members to better understand mandated application changes, updates, along with assigned routine maintenance(s) before deploying into the production environment. Other specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Working with security team on an on-going basis to ensure Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products comply with DHS security standards.
• Collaborating with technical troubleshooting staff from a multitude of technical/management disciplines to provide timely solutions and explanations to complex system related problems which impact biometric services – whether in person, telephonically, or through electronic means.
• Coordinating efforts between technical support staff(s) in the performance of assigned projects. Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and provides management overview.
• Developing and applying advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of highly complex system requirements and system diagnostics of TIBCO BW, WebLogic, and EMS services
• Reviewing and assisting in authoring procedural literature to tasks and current practices to support business requirements
• Provide technical consultation on current and proposed systems to Government Officials from different agencies
• Evaluate and estimate the extent of system impact to submit Emergency Break Fix (EBF) request before task is performed, while also ensuring all artifacts of the EBF package are properly annotated before submitting to the approving authority.
• Evaluating & documenting individual performances of members assigned to the first shift as well as assisting and consulting in the hiring process of new team members as needed.
• Provide managerial on call support over the weekend to resolve technical issues as needed.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
• DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience.
• UNIX shell scripting.
• Working knowledge with Git/GitHub.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
Desired Skills / Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher and/or 15 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of developing Structured Query Language (SQL), Jython scripts from a Command Interface.
• Experience managing Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware appliances across multiple application domains.
• TIBCO Business Works (BW) and Enterprise Message Service (EMS) administration. Managing multiple domains. Configuring BW trace parameters for debugging.
• Configuration management experience using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience/Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) functionality, VIPs configurations and iRule script writing.
• Working knowledge of Public Key Interface (PKI) structure, Security Certificate Renewal.
• Knowledge of Postfix and Email Server Administration.
• Certification in any of the following is desired:
o ITIL Foundation.
o Amazon Web Services (AWS).
o Oracle WebLogic Server
