About the Role
Become a pioneer in the burgeoning field of AI-driven mental health! As an AI Tutor - Psychologist, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of AI models designed to understand and interact with the complexities of human psychology. Utilizing your expertise, you'll employ Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) techniques to teach, evaluate, and red team AI models. Your work will directly impact the development of AI systems that can contribute to a deeper understanding of critical areas within psychology including:
Cognitive Processes: Help AI grasp the nuances of attention, memory, language, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Social and Emotional Intelligence: Train AI to recognize, interpret, and respond to human emotions, social cues, and interpersonal dynamics.
Mental Health Conditions: Guide AI to differentiate between normal emotional experiences and symptoms of various mental health disorders.
Ethical Considerations: Instill within AI models the importance of ethical conduct, patient privacy, and avoiding bias in a mental health context.
Your Day to Day
AI Instruction: Provide clear, concise, and engaging explanations of psychological concepts, theories, and research findings to AI models.
Feedback & Evaluation: Analyze AI responses to a variety of prompts and scenarios, providing detailed feedback to refine their understanding and improve accuracy.
Red Teaming: Devise creative and challenging scenarios to test the limits of AI's psychological knowledge, identifying potential biases or ethical concerns.
RLHF Implementation: Collaborate with engineers and researchers to implement your feedback effectively within the RLHF framework.
About You
Master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, or a related field. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and significant practical experience may also be considered.
Alternatively, an MD with specialization in psychiatry and a demonstrated interest in AI applications.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex psychological concepts into clear, concise explanations for both humans and AI.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a passion for exploring the intersection of AI and mental health.
