As an AI Engineer on our AIMS (AI Marketing Solutions) team, you’ll sit at the intersection of AI, engineering, and marketing innovation. You’ll collaborate directly with marketers to turn early-stage ideas into AI-powered tools that scale impact across the business. This role blends creative problem-solving with hands-on development — helping shape how Generative AI powers HubSpot’s future growth.
What You’ll Do
1. Develop and deploy high-quality software and cloud-based infrastructure for AI-driven marketing applications.
2. Partner with marketers and product stakeholders to translate ideas into prototypes and scalable AI tools.
3. Research and test emerging AI technologies to inform and accelerate HubSpot’s marketing innovation roadmap.
4. Build, refine, and integrate APIs, data pipelines, and multi-agent systems leveraging LLMs and RAG techniques.
5. Evaluate and prioritize AI project ideas based on technical feasibility and potential business impact.
6. Document AI systems and best practices to ensure maintainability, clarity, and scalability.
7. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences with confidence and clarity.
8. Collaborate across engineering, data science, and marketing functions to bring AI-powered workflows to life.
9. Stay current with emerging AI trends and propose high-impact applications within marketing technology.
10. Contribute to a culture of learning, experimentation, and technical excellence across the AIMS team.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
2+ years of software development or equivalent technical experience.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience applying Generative AI concepts to real-world problems, ideally within marketing or business systems.
Familiarity with marketing technology tools (e.g., workflow automation, CDPs, CRMs, or data warehouses).
Working knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and web service APIs.
Experience developing REST APIs and working with databases.
Proficiency with version control systems (GIT).
Understanding of software testing principles and practices.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks such as Python, NLP, OpenAI APIs, transformers, and vector databases.
Experience working in or supporting marketing or MarTech teams.
Experience with the HubSpot platform or similar marketing automation software.
Background in Java or experience with multi-agent systems.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset for learning new technologies.

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
