  1. Job Title: ADMS Functional Consultant

 

Overview:

As an ADMS Functional Consultant, you will play a crucial role in implementing and optimizing the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS)** within an electric utility. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing grid reliability, improving outage management, and streamlining grid operations.

 

Responsibilities:

1. ADMS Implementation and Integration:

   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and deploy the ADMS solution.

   - Ensure seamless integration of ADMS components, including **SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)**, **OMS (Outage Management System)**, and **DMS (Distribution Management System)**.

 

2. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

   - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their operational needs.

   - Translate business requirements into functional specifications for ADMS implementation.

 

3. Solution Design and Documentation:

   - Lead the design of ADMS functionalities based on utility requirements.

   - Document system architecture, data flows, and configuration details.

 

4. Testing and Validation:

   - Develop test plans and scenarios for ADMS functionality.

   - Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance validation.

 

5. Training and Support:

   - Train end-users and system administrators on ADMS functionalities.

   - Provide ongoing support during system rollout and post-implementation.

 

6. Continuous Improvement:

   - Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to ADMS.

   - Propose enhancements to optimize ADMS performance and adapt to evolving grid needs.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ADMS solutions in the utility sector.

- Technical experience in one or more of the following utility software solutions:

  - Outage Management Systems (OMS)

  - SCADA

  - Distribution Management Systems (DMS)

 

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Understanding of utility grid operations, asset management, and distribution system management.

The annual salary for this position is between $72,200 - $162,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. 

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
